About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with healthcare project experience to join our growing Electrical Department as an Associate, based either in New York City or remotely. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven engineering professional to take a leadership role on complex, high-profile healthcare projects while helping shape the success of our clients and teams.
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead and deliver innovative electrical engineering solutions from concept through construction, working on projects that directly impact healthcare environments and patient care. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, build strong client relationships, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence across every phase of project delivery.
In this role, you'll combine your expertise in healthcare electrical systems, project leadership, and client management to successfully execute challenging projects while ensuring quality, performance, and financial success. Key Responsibilities
  • Works with their Department Leader (i.e., Director, Associate Partner, or Partner) to develop conceptual design for projects and guides their team through project completion.
  • Acts as the day-to-day Client point of contact on their projects
  • Manages and reviews all project- related documents and ensures timely and accurate implementation
  • Responsible for project deliverables both technically and functionally.
  • Presents and explains project designs confidently at internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinates and updates the project team regularly to meet design expectations and deadlines.
  • Initiates and manages design changes, proposals, and approvals.
  • Successfully executes healthcare projects of all sizes and complexity from concept to completion.
  • Utilizes staffing and project resources effectively: delegates projects thoughtfully to avoid work overload.
  • Financial Management and Business Development
  • Builds and maintains quality relationships with Clients and industry contacts.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7-12 years of experience ideally - please apply if you are close to 7 years.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in all design calculations and software tools (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD) applicable to their discipline
  • Strong understanding of trade-specific scope of project, trade-related codes, and the required coordination with other trades
  • Strong understanding of documentation requirements and content for each deliverable phase (e.g., SD, DD, CD and specifications)

Estimated compensation range: $122,000 - $140,000 - this is negotiable based on years of experience and certifications.
