What You'll Do:
As an Electrical Engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you’ll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.
What We Are Looking For:
We're seeking well-rounded professionals with the following abilities. 
  • Engineer and design electrical building systems specifically focused in one or all of these areas. 
    • Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard.
    • Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems.
    • Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an engineering-related curriculum from
    a U.S. accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical commercial building system design.
  • Passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam or a PE is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Thorough understanding of the coordination aspects of all design disciplines and impact on the project.
  • Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
