What You'll Do

As an Electrical Engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you'll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking wellโ€‘rounded professionals with the following abilities.

  • Engineer and design electrical building systems specifically focused in one or all of these areas.
  • Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard.
  • Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems.
  • Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an engineeringโ€‘related curriculum from a USโ€‘accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical commercial building system design.
  • Having passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam, PE preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Thorough understanding of the coordination aspects of all design disciplines and impact on the project.
  • Teamโ€‘oriented problemโ€‘solving skills and decisionโ€‘making ability.
  • Detail oriented, selfโ€‘motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
