As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a technical leader in the design, development, and testing of electrical/electronic systems for highly complex aerospace and defense applications. You will drive innovation, provide technical direction, and ensure the successful delivery of high-performance products.
The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, lead and execute the development of circuit card assemblies.
  • Lead and provide technical guidance for implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
  • Conduct and oversee comprehensive testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
  • Perform expert-level troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Develop, document, and review high-level technical designs, test plans, and results.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Lead design reviews and provide strategic technical insights.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, promoting technical growth.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Expert proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Experience composing and evaluating an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $113,428.57 - $155,964.28. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
