Job description

Senior EHR Application Analyst – Epic HB Coding

Location: Remote
Work Hours: CST hours required
Contract: 6-month initial contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior EHR Application Analyst to provide advanced technical support for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Epic Application Analyst with strong Hospital Billing (HB) Coding experience and the ability to analyze complex workflows, collaborate with business and clinical subject matter experts, and resolve complex application issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior technical resource and subject matter expert for assigned EHR applications.
  • Provide advanced technical support for Epic EHR implementation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Analyze business operations, workflows, data collection, reporting requirements, and technical components.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to tailor the EHR system to institutional needs.
  • Coordinate and provide oversight for assigned applications.
  • Support the implementation of key application decisions and system changes.
  • Analyze and improve existing workflows and application functionality.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and facilitate resolution of complex EHR application issues.
  • Support application-related projects, enhancements, and ongoing system maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Epic HB Coding Certification – REQUIRED.
  • 5+ years of experience in Epic HB Coding, EHR applications, workflow analysis/design, software/domain analysis, programming, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of EHR application workflows and technical functionality.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving complex application issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Must be available to work CST hours.

Education Substitution: Additional years of equivalent experience or completed college coursework may substitute for the required education on a one-to-one basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Resolute HB Certification
  • Experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing.
  • Experience with EHR workflow optimization and application implementation.

Work Arrangement

  • 100% Remote
  • Open to candidates located outside the local area.
  • CST working hours required.
  • 6-month initial contract, with potential for continuation based on business needs.

Candidates must have Epic HB Coding Certification to be considered for this position.
