Job Description:
The Associate Educator (AE):
  • Works with an individual student and small groups of students to implement lessons or practice in reading, writing, and math in person
  • Effectively motivates students to complete work and progress in their learning toward learning goals
  • Facilitates lunch and recess duty
  • Maintains a positive classroom culture by working effectively with students and staff of all backgrounds
  • Supports the development of English language development, positive behaviors and social/emotional skills, in accordance with students' learning plans.
  • Provides positive reinforcement and helps students build independence.
  • Collaborates effectively with a variety of colleagues.
  • Effectively collects and maintains evidence of student growth and other data.

Qualifications:
  • Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree or higher OR high school diploma/G.E.D with at least 60 college credits OR successful completion of Parapro examination (Required)
  • Experience working with preschool, elementary, or middle school students (Preferred)
  • Can independently lead small groups and will be flexible and adaptive in problem solving to meet students' needs (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and will collaborate effectively (Preferred)
