Job Title

Lead Dog XL DSP Delivery Driver

Job Description

Amazon-branded vehicle provided! Non-CDL delivery driver! Box Truck Route: Approximate hours are 7:30 am to 6pm. Start your day and end your day at the station each day. Shifts range between 8-10 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week, weekend availability is required. Requiring every driver/helper to be available Saturdays or Sundays regularly. Full-time employees can expect to be scheduled 4-5 days a week with the exemption of peak weeks and the Holidays.

  • Deliver packages to residential and commercial properties
  • Ensure packages are delivered directly to customer or safely placed in a secure location
  • Box Truck Delivery, DOT physical required for drivers
  • Team Delivery, Driver and a Helper team-lift XL packages to deliver to the customer
  • Items range from 100-350bs, team lifting product with driver and helper. Lift gate to bring product down from back of truck
  • 26ft box trucks
  • DSP located in Amazon's warehouse in Lakeville, MN. Your day will begin and end at our station
Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times.
  • Use hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information.
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Load and unload packages to be delivered
  • Items range from 100-350lbs, team lifting product with driver and helper. Lift gate to bring product down from back of truck
Qualifications

Delivery Driver Basic Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the U.S
  • DOT Medical Card for Drivers
  • Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license
  • Must be over the age of 21 to drive; over the age of 18 to be a helper
  • Reliable form of transportation to and from work
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Must have clean driving record

Useful skills for Drivers and Helpers:

  • Proven Driving Experience
  • Familiarity with GPS systems
  • Familiar with Twin Cities area and across the state
  • Ability to remain calm in driving situations
  • Ability to communicate with other driver associates
  • Ability to maintain the cleanliness of delivery vans
  • Ability to complete deliveries in timely manner to maintain schedule
  • A polite and professional disposition
Compensation & Benefits
  • Driver: $25.75/hr + $20 added to check each Saturday or Sunday shift
  • Helper: $18/hr + $20 added to check each Saturday or Sunday shift
