As a Food Service Supervisor at MercyOne, you will be responsible for successfully leading andmonitoringall work assigned to food operations including any orall ofthe following: production, purchasing, sanitation, patient food services, retail, procurement, fooddistributionand catering. Adheres toMercyOne'sperformance expectations and performs all defined services and other related dutiesin accordance withthe Mission,Visionand Values ofMercyOne.

  • Supervises work assigned within the food operation.

  • Orders food and supplies.

  • Coordinates daily food production and delivery.

  • Monitors processes that assure a safe. sanitary environment.

  • Maintains software applications and supports system users.

  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

  • Varied shifts based on department needs

General Requirements:

  • 3 - 4 years' experience in Food and Nutrition

  • Intermediate language, intermediate math, highreasoning ability.

  • Ability to lead others and communicate clearly and to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability tomonitor,analyzeand make quick decisions.

  • Effective organization skills, including delegating, and time management skills.

  • Personal and professional integrity.

  • Excellent interpersonalskillsincludingbeing a positive motivator and role model for others.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet/exceed established goals andobjectives.

  • Ability toanticipate, solve and follow-up withissues/problems.

  • Ability toidentifydetailed Food Service performance problems and findappropriate solutions.

  • Ability to train staff in allfacetsof Food Service operations

Education:

  • Associate's degree preferred.

  • Food Safety Certification preferred.
