Associate Veterinarian -- Waverly, IA
A growing veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality medical and surgical care while building lasting relationships with pet owners and supporting the health and well-being of companion animals.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive examinations and diagnose illnesses and injuries in companion animals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect laboratory samples, and interpret diagnostic results
  • Provide preventive care services, including wellness examinations and client education
  • Perform surgical and dental procedures as appropriate
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
  • Counsel pet owners on preventive healthcare, treatment options, and end-of-life care decisions
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care
