NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is seeking a highly strategic, execution-oriented Director, Project Management & Operations to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that advance business growth, operational excellence, content innovation, and cross-platform audience engagement. Serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership, this role will translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership, business acumen, stakeholder management expertise, and a passion for the evolving media and entertainment landscape.

Building on core project management and operational responsibilities, this leader will oversee initiatives from planning through execution, foster cross-functional alignment, drive clear stakeholder communication, and strengthen project management best practices across the organization.

The Director, Project Management & Ops, is responsible for:

Strategic Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead a portfolio of high-impact strategic streaming initiatives for Telemundo Enterprises
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize initiatives, define business objectives, and align project investments with organizational goals.
  • Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and decision-making processes to support enterprise execution.

Project Management & Delivery Excellence

  • Direct projects through the full lifecycle, including business case development, scope definition, planning, execution, delivery, change management, and post-implementation assessment.
  • Define project goals, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, success metrics, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project health, proactively identify challenges, remove roadblocks, and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong partnerships across streaming, marketing, production, editorial, finance, research, legal, communications, and external vendors.
  • Lead executive-level project reviews and steering committee meetings.
  • Facilitate alignment among diverse stakeholder groups and drive consensus on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide clear, actionable updates to senior executives regarding project progress, risks, dependencies, and opportunities.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement scalable project management frameworks, standards, templates, and best practices across Telemundo Enterprises.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, collaboration, resource allocation, and execution methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and operational maturity.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, innovation, and continuous learning. These responsibilities expand upon existing expectations for documentation, reporting, process improvement, and project management standards.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and cross-functional project teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and results.
  • Provide coaching on project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and change management practices.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Media, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive project, program, or operations management experience.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Proven success leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting and governance processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools such as Lucid and Smartsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration platforms, and workflow management systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven media and entertainment environment.

Preferred

  • Experience within media, entertainment, broadcast, streaming, digital media, or content organizations.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or related project management certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation, streaming, content operations, or audience growth initiatives.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
