Senior Project Manager, Strategy and Portfolio Management (SPM) will manage theexecutionof large& complex strategic change/regulatory initiatives within Capital Markets (CM) & Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS). The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities across cross-functional business and technology teams within and outside Capital Markets to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget. This role requires an understanding of Capital Markets & QTS Strategy and ensuring program deliverables align to that vision.

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage x-asset strategic & regulatory initiatives with multiple work streams through full project lifecycle (initiation, definition, financials, resourcing, implementation, delivery, enhancement, maintenance)
  • Workwith Global Business/Technology Owners to ensure that the initiatives successfully deliver against desired business outcomes and enable value creation
  • Establish appropriate governance and oversight for assigned initiatives
  • Developintegrated baseline project plans applying estimation models; refines & tracks plans including coordination of inter-work stream dependencies; manages performance against delivery plans
  • Raiseand trackissues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves project issues and escalates to immediate manager when required
  • Manageprogram communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business units, vendors, project team
  • Responsible for support & oversight of project and program delivery assurance and lead IT face off to RBC internal audit

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years Project Management experience
  • At least 3+ years of PM experience in Capital Markets (IT or business) across cross asset large scale ($5M+) complex strategic change and regulatory initiatives.
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of SDLC and 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies & tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Rally Central)
  • Domain expertise in one or more asset classes (Rates, Credit, Equities) and F2B functional areas Front Office (trade capture, pricing, trading risk/pnl), Operations, Product Control, Market and Credit Risk.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)

Nice-to-have

  • Prior consulting experience with "Big Four"
  • PMP and/or PgMP certification
