Director, GTS Revenue Marketing - Americas Public Sector
We're looking for an experienced Director of B2G/B2B Marketing to lead our Americas Public Sector (APS) segment. The candidate must have extensive experience marketing to, or for, government agencies, ideally at the federal and state level. This marketing leader is the strategic business partner to APS sales leadership, and is accountable for driving pipeline creation, opportunity development, marketing-enabled revenue growth, and executive engagement across Public Sector markets. This director leads the integrated regional marketing strategy and execution while influencing global Public Sector priorities globally. Success in this role requires experience partnering with executive sales leaders and operating effectively within highly matrixed global organizations.
What You Will do:
  • Own Public Sector marketing strategy and revenue contribution, driving demand generation, pipeline acceleration, lead conversion, and marketing-enabled growth across the Americas region.
  • Act as Gartner's marketing subject matter expert for Public Sector audiences, translating market dynamics, buyer priorities, and competitive pressures into actionable growth strategies.
  • Serve as the primary strategic marketing advisor to APS executive sales leadership, aligning marketing investments to growth priorities and business outcomes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering strategic thinking, accountability, collaboration, and professional growth while aligning individual contributions to business objectives.
  • Represent GTS Marketing within enterprise competitive-response initiatives impacting Public Sector growth strategies.
  • Drive global Public Sector marketing alignment and knowledge sharing across global regions to drive consistency, scale, and best-practice adoption.
  • Work effectively and collaborate closely in a highly matrixed environment with Sales, Product, Business and Technology Insights, and global marketing partners to continually align marketing activities and priorities.
  • Lead global demand generation strategy for Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP), driving alignment across specialist sales, NCVI partners, and regional marketing teams.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence by presenting plans and forecasts and delivering clear, concise performance reviews and actionable insights that optimize marketing impact.
  • Develop KPIs, goals, and targets for functions supporting the solution business.
  • Develop test plans to optimize and innovate marketing programs.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture while effectively prioritizing competing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate activities and plans with Experiential Events Marketing, Conferences Marketing and Global Marketing campaigns.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
  • 10+ years' direct experience in related role for the public sector.
  • 5+ years managing a team.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers, clients, and customers.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior executive stakeholders and driving measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes through integrated B2G/B2B marketing programs.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise sales leadership and operating effectively in highly matrixed, global organizations.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 120,000 USD - 167,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
