About the Role:
Maven is looking for a Director of Marketing Operations who will own the systems, data, and reporting infrastructure behind our B2B Growth Marketing team - from HubSpot/Salesforce instrumentation to pipeline attribution to the budget that funds it all. This person will lead a team across marketing analytics, marketing operations, and web optimization, and serve as the go-to partner for Sales, RevOps, Strategic Finance, and Client Success on shared data and reporting. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth, they'll bring structure and rigor to a fast-moving org, ensuring marketing's numbers hold up in front of executive leadership.
What You'll Do:
Marketing Technology, Data & Attribution
  • HubSpot instrumentation (and its integration with Salesforce): own lead management strategy, campaign orchestration and tracking, and stage definitions for the B2B funnel.
  • Pipeline attribution: own marketing's multi-touch attribution methodology and represent it in cross-team pipeline conversations.
  • Data governance: maintain data dictionaries and definitions (MQL/MQA thresholds, pipeline vs. bookings vs. revenue) so reporting stays consistent as tools and AI use expand.
  • Martech stack: own B2B-facing tools and integrations, including CaliberMind, GA4, HubSpot, Qualified, Webflow, and evaluate new tooling as needs evolve.
  • Training and enablement: ensure the has the resources and knowledge to own the reporting and orchestration of their channels.

Analytics & Reporting
  • KPI ownership: define and maintain B2B marketing metrics (MQLs, MQAs, pipeline coverage, Pipe-Spend ratio) and the reporting cadence behind them.
  • Executive reporting: build and deliver pipeline briefings and performance readouts for B2B marketing leadership.
  • Dashboards: own the B2B analytics stack across CaliberMind, Looker, Data Studio, Salesforce, and GA4, and keep it accurate as definitions change.
  • FY planning support: partner with Strategic Finance and RevOps on fiscal year target-setting, run-rate projections, and scenario modeling for B2B pipeline and budget as well as org-level OKR setting.

Budget & Planning
  • Budget ownership: oversee the B2B marketing budget, including forecast, actuals, monthly reconciliation, and shifts across programs and months.
  • Vendor management: track spend and manage relationships with external vendors.
  • FY planning: lead annual and quarterly budgeting and planning for B2B Growth Marketing in partnership with Strategic Finance.

Marketing Website & CRO
  • Marketing website: manage the web team that owns navigation, landing pages, and on-page SEO/AEO for the Enterprise/B2B experience.
  • Testing and optimization: run a structured A/B testing and CRO program for B2B landing pages.
  • Accessibility: maintain WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across the B2B site experience.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
    • People leadership: manage and develop a team covering marketing analytics, marketing operations, and web optimization.
    • Process and tooling: set the team's operating rhythm and own its project management tooling (Asana and Jira).
    • Builds with AI: personally build AI-powered workflows for reporting, analysis, and campaign operations that enable the team to make better decisions and scale without additional headcount.
    • AI enablement: lead rollout of AI tools within B2B Growth Marketing, including data governance for tools connected to live CRM and marketing data, and set the team's judgment for where AI helps and where it doesn't.
    • Cross-functional partnership: serve as B2B Growth Marketing's primary point of contact for Sales, SDR, RevOps, Strategic Finance, and Client Success on shared data, process, and reporting questions.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years in B2B marketing operations, analytics, or revenue operations, ideally supporting complex or enterprise sales cycles.
  • Hands-on ownership of a marketing automation platform (HubSpot or similar) and the integration with Salesforce, including lead routing, lifecycle stages, and campaign orchestration.
  • Experience building and defending pipeline or marketing attribution models with Sales and Finance stakeholders.
  • Track record owning multi-million dollar marketing budgets, including forecasting, actuals, and reconciliation.
  • Experience owning a B2B marketing website and CRO program, including A/B testing and accessibility standards.
  • Experience managing and developing a high performance team.
  • Sharp, direct communicator, comfortable presenting pipeline and Marketing performance data to executive leadership.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-changing org structure and building processes from ambiguity.
  • Experience rolling out AI tools within a marketing team, with an eye toward data governance and accuracy.

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
This role requires active work authorization in the US.
Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, and remotely via San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in Boston, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend monthly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
