Members own and operate a variety of location-based entertainment venues and attractions including amusement parks, theme parks, attractions, water parks, resorts, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums, cruise lines, and cultural and natural attractions. 

Overall Responsibilities:

The Associate Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the development, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing initiatives that promote IAAPA membership, events, exhibit sales, sponsorship opportunities, research, and other association products and services. This role develops and executes multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive attendee registration, exhibitor participation, sponsorship sales, membership acquisition and retention, and engagement across IAAPA's global regions.

In addition to traditional marketing responsibilities, this position will assist in the managing of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), marketing automation, CRM integration, and customer journeys. The Associate Digital Marketing Manager partners closely with the Regional Marketing Teams, Digital Team, Membership, Events, IT, and external vendors to deliver personalized member experiences and data-driven marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties:

Marketing Campaign Management

  • Assist in developing and executing integrated marketing plans and tactics that drive IAAPA membership acquisition and retention, event attendance, exhibitor and sponsorship sales, education participation, and engagement across global and regional initiatives ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with IAAPA's brand standards and business objectives.
  • Coordinate campaign schedules, production timelines, creative reviews, approvals, and deployment across multiple marketing initiatives. 
  • Assist in developing campaign messaging, copy, and promotional content that aligns with IAAPA's brand standards. 
  • Regularly review, update, and maintain IAAPA website content while coordinating digital updates across departments. 
  • Assist in implementing marketing strategies across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging digital platforms. 
  • Create digital ad campaigns, including campaign setup, tracking, optimization, and reporting. 
  • Coordinate the marketing communications calendars for membership, education, certifications, events, webinars, website content, and social media. 

Marketing Automation & CRM

  • Manage day-to-day Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) campaign and marketing automation activities using Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder, including building, testing, and optimizing automated customer journeys that support IAAPA member acquisition, retention, event registration, education programs, certifications, and lead nurturing. 
  • Monitor active journeys, automations, imports, and scheduled processes, troubleshooting issues and escalating technical concerns as appropriate. 
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies using member behavior, demographics, engagement history, membership status, and regional data. 
  • Build, upload, validate, and maintain marketing lists for global and regional campaigns. 
  • Partner with Regional Marketing teams to create targeted marketing lists and audience segments that support regional campaigns and localized marketing initiatives. 
  • Manage list imports, suppression lists, data extensions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 
  • Collaborate with Membership and IT to support the integration of SFMC and Fonteva, including field mapping, data synchronization, troubleshooting, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for marketing automation workflows, audience creation, campaign processes, and CRM best practices. 
  • Utilize Apollo and other prospecting platforms to identify prospective members, build acquisition lists and member personas that support membership growth initiatives. 
  • Manage email deliverability and communication preferences in accordance with best practices, including bounce and suppression management, unsubscribe and consent processes and sender reputation.
  • Support the day-to-day administration and organization of SFMC, including organizing and maintaining folder structures, adding and managing users and permissions, and supporting the regions sender profiles, send classifications, and naming conventions.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance across email, paid media, social media, lead gen, and marketing automation platforms. 
  • Develop recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness through testing, optimization, and customer insights. 
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in digital marketing, marketing automation, CRM technology, AI, social media, and customer engagement. 
  • Support multiple concurrent projects while collaborating across Marketing, Membership, Events, Sales, and Regional Offices.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, campaign management, marketing automation, preferably within an association or membership organization.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive membership, event attendance, exhibitor sales, sponsorships, lead generation, and/or member engagement.
  • Understanding marketing personalization strategies, email marketing best practices, and member engagement.
  • Experience creating and managing digital marketing campaigns across email, websites, paid media, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and automated customer journeys.
  • Experience working with Fonteva, or similar association management or CRM systems.
  • Experience building, segmenting, importing, validating, field mapping, audience segmentation, and maintaining marketing lists while ensuring data integrity and marketing compliance.
  • Experience utilizing Apollo or similar prospecting platforms to support lead generation, audience development, and member acquisition is preferred.
  • Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS), basic HTML/CSS, digital analytics, and marketing performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and interpret campaign performance data.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and regional teams.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics (or similar analytics platforms), CRM systems, and digital marketing technologies.
  • Ability to work onsite at IAAPA's Headquarters office in Orlando, Florida.
