Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing efforts across digital platforms, print materials, and community engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of design, coordination, and hands-on marketing support, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with leadership and internal teams to help execute marketing strategies, maintain brand consistency, and support events, sponsorships, and campaigns.

Supervision:

Non-supervisory and reports directly to the Director of Development and Strategy

Position Duties:

Digital Marketing & Design Support

· Assist in creating visually engaging digital content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), email campaigns, and website updates

· Design basic marketing graphics, posts, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms

· Help schedule, organize, and track social media content

· Ensure branding consistency across all digital channels

Marketing Collateral & Print Materials

· Assist with the design and coordination of marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, signage, handouts, and other promotional materials

· Coordinate with vendors or printers as needed to ensure timely production and delivery

· Maintain and update existing marketing materials as needed

Events, Sponsorships & Community Outreach

· Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, sponsorships, and community initiatives

· Assist with event logistics, promotional materials, and follow-up communications

· Help track sponsorship opportunities and maintain related documentation

· Represent the organization professionally at events when needed

General Marketing Support

· Assist with campaign planning, implementation, and tracking

· Help organize marketing calendars, assets, and project timelines

· Conduct basic market or competitor research as requested

· Support other marketing initiatives and administrative tasks as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree in business, marketing, communications or a similar field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk and access students/clients in various environments, bending over and lifting/holding/carrying objects found in an office environment.

Ability to communicate and respond to co-worker and customer inquiries both in person and over the phone.

Ability to operate a PC/laptop and to enter & retrieve information from a computer.

Ability to handle varying and often high levels of stress.

Ability to travel throughout the County. Must be able to drive.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Community Health Center mission and philosophy.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate

Physical Demands: Lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, carrying, sitting, vision corrected in normal range, hearing corrected in normal range

Hazardous Conditions: Exposure to infectious diseases; exposure to workplace chemicals, potential exposure to physical violence

Exposed to: Cold/heat controls, close contact with sick people. Must be able to work under conditions of constant interruption and be able to stay on task.
