Symitar Integration Development (SID) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Developer to join their team. You will work as part of a team to collaborate, design, build, and code integrations for vendors and Jack Henry product teams. Come help us build the future!

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Louisville, KY; Charlotte, NC; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
  • Performs system analysis and programming activities which may require research and timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
  • Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
  • Uses best practices and standard guidance to create and modify code. Considers how code changes will affect end users and internal teams.
  • Collaborates with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Works on critical tasks and deliverables with minimal assistance, and sets and updates expectations on size, scope, and timelines.
  • May represent team in cross-team meetings and discussions.
  • Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Participates in the definition and documentation of standards.
  • Plans unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of developed software.
  • Debugs and troubleshoots issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.
  • Complete software development using PowerOn, HTML, Javascript, Java, and other languages
  • Provides reasonable task and project cost/effort estimates.
  • Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Assists in training and mentoring less experienced peers.
  • Participates in cross team projects as needed.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 4+ years of technical experience in software development.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, JSON.
What would be nice for you to have:
  • Experience with Symitar and PowerOn.
  • Experience with jQuery, Go, Java, and/or SQL.
  • Experience with web services development and/or SymXchange.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Tempo.
  • Experience with PostMan, SoapUI, Visual Studio, and Eclipse.
  • Financial industry knowledge.
