Engineering / Maintenance Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering and Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage these department(s).

SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Plan, schedule, set priorities, assign tasks, and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
  • Inspects all facility equipment and identifies opportunities to improve or enhance maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities within the manufacturing plant, often assuming a hands-on role in one or more stages of the process. Directs facility maintenance tasks, such as installing, troubleshooting and repairing plant electrical systems, relocating equipment, maintaining company buildings and vehicles, and custodial functions.
  • Provides associates with work performance reviews, approve labor hours, corrective action notifications if required, and reviews and approves vacation requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

SUMMARY of QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC manufacturing operations, equipment, and manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, machining, fabrication, and automation.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to drive process improvements and optimization. Strong electrical and industrial electronic troubleshooting skills, including experience with CNC machine control systems a plus.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and make independent decisions within the prescribed bounds of discretion.
