Job description

The Jr. Manufacturing Automation & Data Systems Developer supports the design, development, and maintenance of digital manufacturing systems under the guidance of the Manufacturing Automation & Data Systems Developer. This entry-level role is an integral part of the team's effort to transition from manual, paper-based processes to integrated digital solutions across manufacturing operations.
The position works collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, and Information Technology teams to learn and contribute to automation and data systems that support production requirements, reporting needs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of digital workflows to replace manual manufacturing documentation and paper-based processes
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of manufacturing reports and dashboards to provide accurate and timely production data
  • Assist in maintaining manufacturing automation platforms, including system updates and ongoing improvements, under senior developer guidance
  • Participate in requirements gathering with Manufacturing stakeholders to learn how to translate operational needs into technical solutions
  • Partner with IT to support system security, data integrity, and compliance with company standards
  • Assist with data integrations between manufacturing systems, databases, and enterprise platforms, including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments
  • Support the development and maintenance of Python-based scripts and tools used for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and process automation
  • Assist in the development and deployment of agentic AI workflows that support manufacturing decision-making, anomaly detection, and operational intelligence
  • Support troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of system issues related to automation, reporting, and data flow
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and system change records
  • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities related to manufacturing automation and data systems

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
