Job description

The Norton Rose Fulbright real estate team is a leader in the Calgary market, working with top real estate developers in the Calgary market while operating seamlessly as part of Norton Rose Fulbright's extensive domestic and international network of real estate experts. The team is highly experienced across all facets of the real estate industry, and is particularly known for its ability to provide business oriented strategic advice on high-profile, high-value real estate projects, including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing and development. Our Calgary office is currently seeking a junior or mid-level associate to join this group.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have three to seven years' experience practicing commercial real estate law.

This is a tremendous opportunity to join a world-class team of professionals, working with a collegial and collaborative team at an established Canadian law firm.

You will be focusing on:

  • Taking a lead role and working with clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.

  • Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, financing documents and a wide range of other documents.

  • Working with partners and other practice groups as part of the team on complex real estate transactions.

What you bring to the role:

  • 3-7 years' experience gained within a reputable practice with significant exposure to a range of commercial real estate matters.

  • Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational abilities.
