Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is actively seeking a driven and experiencedย Geotechnical Engineerย to join our team in the vibrantย Myrtle Beach, South Carolinaย area.ย If you're passionate about the ground beneath your feet and want to work on dynamic projects that shape the built environment, this is your chance to grow with a company that values expertise, collaboration, and professional development.

What You'll Be Doing:
You'll play a key role in a variety of exciting geotechnical and construction-related projects, including:

  • Field and lab work related to earthwork, foundation, and construction materials testing
  • Managing subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), and analyzing logs, lab data, and site plans
  • Performing engineering calculations such as bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, slope stability, and pavement section design
  • Writing and preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports
  • Retaining wall and foundation design
  • Slope stability analysis and pavement design
  • Project management and client engagement

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
  • EIT/FE certificationย strongly preferred;ย PE licenseย is a plus
  • 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical and construction observation experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD or CADD is a bonus
