Humm Kombucha is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Maintenance Leader: Capital Projects amp; Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations, facility improvements, and capital projects that support our growing manufacturing business.

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, facility performance, and successful execution of capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience managing maintenance teams, overseeing contractors, controlling budgets, and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll DoMaintenance amp; Reliability
  • Lead, develop, and coach maintenance and facilities team members.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with production leadership to resolve equipment and facility challenges.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve maintenance performance.
Capital Projects amp; Facility Improvements
  • Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) projects including equipment installations, facility expansions, and process improvements.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and contractor relationships.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Identify and recommend facility and process improvement opportunities to leadership.
  • Ensure all projects meet regulatory, safety, and company standards.
Compliance amp; Safety
  • Partner with Quality, Safety, and Operations teams to maintain compliance with:
    • SQF
    • FSMS
    • GMPs
    • OSHA regulations
    • FDA requirements
  • Ensure facilities, grounds, and equipment meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Leadership
  • Evaluate, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and build strong working relationships.
  • Support broader company initiatives and operational goals.
  • Provide leadership coverage during planned or unplanned team absences.
What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of maintenance, engineering, construction, or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Electrical systems
    • HVAC systems
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within maintenance or facilities operations.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Experience using CAD or facility planning software.
  • Knowledge of packaging equipment and manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements amp; Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent standing and walking in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
  • Exposure to production environments that may be noisy and fast-paced.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as business needs require.
