CME Allowance: $4,000 for full time 

Relocation Allowance: $10,000

How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Public Health Dentist to join our team and provide essential dental care services to children within school settings. This position involves working in a mobile dental clinic, delivering preventive and restorative dental services to students in underserved communities.

  • Elevate Pediatric Clinical Care: Deliver comprehensive and compassionate dental services—including examinations, cleanings, fillings, and necessary extractions—to school-aged children, prioritizing patient comfort and creating positive early dental experiences.
  • Champion Preventive Oral Health: Act as a key educator, coaching students and school personnel on essential oral hygiene practices and instilling lifelong habits for preventive dental care.
  • Drive Coordinated Treatment Plans: Develop detailed, ongoing treatment plans for students and actively coordinate with parents or guardians to facilitate follow-up appointments and ensure continuity of care.
  • Ensure Mobile Clinic Excellence: Support the smooth, daily operation of our mobile dental clinic, assisting with efficient scheduling, managing equipment maintenance, and ensuring precise inventory control.
  • Engage and Collaborate: Serve as an ambassador for oral health awareness, actively collaborating with school administrators, teachers, and local health groups to promote community-wide education. Flexibility to attend community events outside of normal hours on an as-needed basis is key to this outreach.
  • Uphold Professional Standards: Maintain meticulous patient records and comprehensive documentation, rigorously implementing quality assurance measures to ensure all services meet the highest professional standards and legal compliance requirements.

About the Facility / Mobile Dental Program

  • The Ascension Seton Dental Urgent Care Clinics provide access to critical and urgent care dental services to those living in poverty. As part of Ascension Wisconsin’s commitment to better meet the health needs of the communities we’re privileged to serve.
  • The mobile dental program is a mobile dental clinic and two portable dental chairs that provides urgent care dental services to children and adults in community setting. 
What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Dentist credentialed from the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
What additional preferences we're seeking

Pediatric dental experience.
