Engineering Manager:

Manages the daily operations of all major AnMed facility systems and coordinates engineering functions to ensure continuous, 24/7 support across all locations. Maximizes available resources to deliver high-quality engineering services, maintain operational reliability, and support a safe and efficient care environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for the Engineering Department, ensuring continuity of departmental functions, decision-making, and service delivery.
  • Leads construction projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining the operations budget for the department.
  • Ensures ongoing support of DNV and DHEC compliance initiatives by promoting survey readiness, regulatory adherence, and timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Conducts fair and impartial evaluations and counseling of subordinates.
  • Maintains open communication with the Department Director regarding operational challenges, progress toward resolution and key departmental updates while ensuring clear, consistent and effective communication between team leaders and staff.
  • Actively responds to changing priorities as may be required to meet changing departmental and/or organizational goals and needs, modifying work schedules and services as the situation may dictate.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required.
  • Ten (10) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Masters Licensure in HVAC preferred. Electrical and Plumbing experience preferred OR Industrial maintenance with fifteen (15) years’ experience in general maintenance preferred.
