Your role in our team
  • You will be responsible for developing a machine user interface (UI) to control packaging machinery, within a given timeframe, that meets the customer's specifications using creativity and innovation.
  • You will design machine user interfaces (UI) using AlphaGate A-VIS visualization software
  • You will configure communication with the machine PLC and plant-level software applications
  • You will customize the operator interface application to meet specific customer needs
  • You will debug and prepare the user interface for factory acceptance testing (FAT)
  • You will communicate and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner
  • You will provide suggestions for design improvements or changes during all phases of machine design
  • You will integrate third party equipment into the machine and UI functions
  • You will work with the automation programmer to troubleshoot any program errors
  • You will review the operating manuals prepared by the technical writer to ensure accuracy and reduce service calls
  • You will travel to customers' plant or provides remote service and support of equipment
Your profile
  • You have a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
  • You have experience in programming operator or user interfaces
  • You have experience in manufacturing environment
  • You are proficient in design patterns, MVC architecture, and strong debugging skills
  • You have strong knowledge and experience in Java, Swing UI, and Apache Ant is preferred
  • You are familiar with Git Version Control, Jira, NetBeans IDE tools is a plus
  • You have computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • You can demonstrate a brilliant imagination
  • You are capable of developing new concepts and standards
  • You are able to think ahead and plan over a 3-month to 6-month time span
  • You have a valid driver's license and a record clear of poor violation convictions such as reckless driving or Driving Under the Influence (DUI/DWI) within the past three years or two or more at fault accidents within the past three years.
  • You are able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the year
