Job description

Hargrave is now accepting a number of applications for Faculty and Staff positions to support its Grades 6-13 Academic Program in anticipation of an enrollment increase and natural attrition.

Hargrave Military Academy is grades 6 to 13 (middle to high school to post-grad/college prep) education which features the finest academics in a military boarding school setting. Providing academically challenging and personalized instruction for every student is a Hargrave tradition stretching back to our founding in 1909. A Hargrave education is not limited to academic pursuits, but empasses a whole-person development model supported by the pillars of academics, character, spiritual growth and athletics/fitness.

Our mission is to build young men into leaders of character prepared for lifelong success. This includes a vision of moving onto college as they become knowledgeable, thinking, and responsible citizens of their community, nation, and world. Hargrave is not a therapeutic environment, but families select the school because of its emphasis on the 4 pillars. Our focus is on meeting each student's specific needs within the framework of a college preparatory environment. Hargrave is a community and a family of instructors, administrators, parents and mentors all working jointly to provide an environment conducive to learning, growing and enabling students to reach their full potential.

The generosity of grateful alumni has continued to support Hargrave in a time of challenge for single-sex boarding school environments. They are particularly committed to developing future men that may be currently struggling with self-confidence, effective "how to study/succeed" skills, and see how a structured and disciplined college-preparatory environment have prepared generations of alumni to be successful men.

Contact the Academic Dean, Dr. Jimmy Tung tungj@hargrave.edu with a resume and cover letter.
