Job Summary
Adjunct Electronics Instructor to teach Basic Math for Electronics, Fall Semester 2026.
Essential Functions
Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.
Required Qualifications
Instructors must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or graduate degree in Math, Math Education, or a secondary teacher licensure in Math.
  2. Bachelor's or graduate degree in Electronics, Electrical Trades, Robotics, or related area, or possess a bachelor's degree in any area if at least 18 credit hours completed were in the Electronics, Electrical Trades, Robotics, or related area.
  3. Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Trades, Robotics, or related area, and have at least 3,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in one of these areas.
  4. Special training and at least 6,000 hours of relevant tested work experience in Electronics, Electrical Trades, Robotics, or related area. Teaching in a CTE subject area offered by a school district or accredited nonpublic school can be considered as no more than 3,000 hours if the instructor is a licensed practitioner who holds a career and technical endorsement under Iowa Code chapter 256.

Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
