Job description

Villa Duchesne is seeking a Math Specialist to support and enrich student learning across grades 4-9. This role is ideal for an educator with a strong background in mathematics instruction and intervention who can effectively meet the needs of learners across a wide range of abilities. The Math Specialist partners closely with teachers to provide in-class support, targeted small group instruction, and individualized intervention, helping students build confidence, strengthen skills, and develop a deep understanding of mathematics.

In this collaborative role, the Math Specialist works with the Principals, the Director of Academics, the support team, and the broader math department to drive student success. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in education (degree in mathematics preferred) and demonstrate experience working with diverse learners, a deep understanding of how students learn math, and the ability to analyze data to inform instruction. Strong communication and collaboration skills with faculty, students, and families are essential, along with a commitment to supporting both students who need additional help and those ready to be challenged.
