We have a growing number of high school students coming in for homework help, SAT Prep, and advanced math support from Algebra all the way up to Calculus.

About the Role
As a Sylvan Math Teacher, you’ll use our proven programs to deliver engaging, personalized math instruction. You’ll help high school students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and achieve their academic goals — all in a fun and rewarding setting.
Key Requirement:
  • Availability to commute to Lake Mary after school hours for a flexible schedule weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays.
What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare for and lead energetic, personalized math sessions
  • Greet and connect with each student to keep them engaged and motivated
  • Teach Algebra through Calculus using Sylvan’s structured programs
  • Celebrate progress with praise, encouragement, and Sylvan tokens
  • Track student growth and communicate successes with center staff
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
  • Current or retired high school math teacher, or strong undergraduate/graduate student majoring in math-related field
  • Ability to teach mathematics at all high school levels
  • Passion for motivating and inspiring students in grades 6–12
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude
  • Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Education, or related field is a big plus
  • Teaching certification is a plus
