Join Our Mission as a Function Test Technician!
The Test Services Team is hiring! We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Function Test Technician to support our Function Team Lead. If you love solving problems, thrive in fast-paced environments, and get energized by technology that matters, this role is for you. This is aposition is located in Simsbury, CT.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility will be evaluation of set-up and performance for Tensile, Drop, Electrical and Function testing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD's and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required as well as testing in inclement weather.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma (associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
  • A Safety mindset with attention to detail, as well as Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and communication skills are required.
  • Candidates must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.
  • Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial.
  • Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to a number of the following areas:
