Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Associate Location: Novato CA 94949 Type: Contract Compensation: $28.00+ shift differential Work Model: Onsite Hours: Thursday - Saturday with alternating Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Overview Leading biotechnology company looking for a Manufacturing Associate. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or an associate degree in science/Biotech certificate with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Understand process theory and equipment operation within biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Learn and support processes such as mammalian cell culture, filtration, chromatography, centrifugation, and formulation of bulk drug substances.
  • Assist in process optimization initiatives and identify processing issues for escalation and resolution.
  • Support automation systems including LIMS, MES, PI, and others.
  • Contribute feedback and suggestions to operational procedures, helping incorporate new technologies and standards.
  • Review and write process documents, ensuring compliance with cGMPs and quality standards.
  • Utilize quality systems such as Deviations, CAPAs, Change Requests, and Action Reports.
  • Participate in projects, contribute to outcomes, and support new business systems like TrackWise and ERP.
  • Perform strenuous, repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and equipment connections.
  • Lift, dispense, push, or pull items averaging 25 pounds regularly.
  • Work around loud equipment while following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.
  • Support various shift-based hours and off-hours as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or an associate degree in science/Biotech certificate with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating conflict resolution and collaboration skills.
  • Good initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Physical ability to perform strenuous, repetitive tasks and lift 25 pounds regularly.
