Job description

Oxford Solutions is working with a financial services organization seeking a Data & Analytics Technical Analyst for a direct hire opportunity. This hybrid role requires four days per week onsite.

This position will support operational and data-focused initiatives across multiple business functions. The analyst will evaluate existing processes, identify opportunities for automation, and help improve how data is organized, analyzed, and used throughout the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational workflows and data processes across multiple departments
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and operational challenges
  • Support the development and organization of data domains and medallion architecture
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and reporting
  • Use Python to automate processes and perform data analysis
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations
  • Investigate data quality issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Document workflows, data definitions, and technical requirements
  • Ask thoughtful questions to better understand business operations and identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, technology, and analytics teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Economics, or another quantitative discipline
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in data analytics, technical analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience using Python for data analysis or automation
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Tableau
  • Understanding of data domains, data architecture, or medallion architecture
  • Experience evaluating operational processes and identifying automation opportunities
  • Financial services industry experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to understand how data moves through business operations and across departments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Team-oriented, coachable, and eager to continue learning
  • Comfortable asking questions and working collaboratively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
