This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work part-time during the school year and full-time through the summer of 2027. The internship is located out of either our MN-Lakeville, MN-Mankato, MN-Rochester, WI-Eau Claire, or IL-Bloomington office locations. If pursuing internship credit through your university, it is your responsibility to consult with your advisor and review the internship's job description to ensure it meets the minimum eligibility requirements.

The contributions you will make: 

This internship will provide hands-on experience in the data analytics field. Ideal for undergraduate juniors, non-graduating seniors, or graduate students. The intern will learn how to query, model, and analyze financial data regarding the financial strength and credit worthiness of clients or other business analytics questions. 

A typical day: 

  • Collect, model, and analyze data to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with others to use internal Compeer data to answer business questions using data, analytics, and statistical modeling. 
  • Contribute to key team projects, either collaboratively or independently.
  • Assist in initiatives focused on cost containment and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Utilize AI tools to research, build and improve work products.
  • Develop professional relationships and explore potential full-time career opportunities.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Must be working towards completing a bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Coursework or experience in data analytics, modeling, or financial analysis strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using PowerBI, Python, R, Microsoft Excel, AI tools, or other data analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver excellent client service.

How we will take care of you:

Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

$20—$21 USD
