Job Overview

Affinity Truck Center is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can transform data into decisions, automate manual processes, and help shape how analytics and AI are used across our organization.

In this role, you'll work directly with executive leadership and departments across the dealership to build dashboards, connect systems, improve reporting, and develop solutions that support profitability and operational performance.

You'll work across the entire dealership, partnering with Accounting, Sales, Service, Parts, Lease & Rental, Mobile Fleet Services, and Operations teams:


Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Develop Power BI dashboards and executive scorecards
  • Build and maintain SQL-based reporting solutions
  • Create KPIs and performance metrics that drive decision-making
  • Analyze dealership data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Support financial forecasting and operational planning
  • Help create a "single source of truth" for business reporting

Systems & Data Management

  • Manage and optimize SQL databases and reporting environments
  • Develop and maintain Crystal Reports
  • Support Excede, Dealer Retriever, Arcadium, and other business systems
  • Improve data quality, integrity, and reporting reliability
  • Assist with software integrations and API connectivity

Automation & AI

  • Implement workflow automation using Microsoft technologies
  • Support Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Automate initiatives
  • Develop AI-assisted tools and business process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work and increase efficiency
  • Help establish best practices for responsible AI adoption

Strategic Technology Projects

  • Participate in software implementations and upgrades
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technology vendors
  • Evaluate new reporting, analytics, and automation opportunities
  • Help shape Affinity's future data and AI roadmap

Requirements

  • Degree preferred in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting Information Systems, Finance, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, systems analysis, or related role.
  • Strong SQL experience, including queries, joins, views, stored procedures, data validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP, DMS, CRM, or other business systems.
  • Practical experience with AI tools, automation platforms, or workflow automation required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, or similar tools preferred.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into reports, dashboards, automations, and system solutions.
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to automate workflows, improve reporting, or enhance business processes.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity, security, confidentiality, and access controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Dealership, automotive, commercial truck, or equipment industry experience preferred but not required.

Work Schedule and Travel:

Due to the nature of our business, and the duties of the position in particular, the actual schedule you will be required to work will vary based upon many factors, including, but not limited to, the business needs of our Company, the schedules of our customers, the season of the year, etc. You may also need to travel out of State for meetings, training, conventions, etc. You will be reimbursed for travel expenses in accordance with Affinity Truck Center's travel policy.


Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements for this position include the following:

  • Lifting and carrying: Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Bending, twisting, stooping, reaching: Must be capable of frequent twisting and bending down to pick up items from lower shelves, and reaching up for items stored at higher levels.
  • Vision: Must have at least 20/40 acuity in each eye with or without correction.
  • Hearing: Ability to perceive a "forced whisper" at a distance of 5 feet or less, with or without hearing aids.
  • Mobility: Ability to enter and exit the vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • Service Dept. Personnel Mobility: Capability to climb into and out of trucks, which may involve using steps or ladders.
  • Dexterity in operating controls such as steering wheels, pedals, and gear shifts.
  • Standing: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a certain percentage of the workday, such as 50% or more
  • Walking: Regularly moving about on foot within the work area, which may involve navigating through tight spaces or uneven surfaces.
  • Hand Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and arms for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching, typing, etc.
  • Sitting: Frequent sitting while using a computer, sitting at a desk, attending meetings, trainings, seminars, etc.
