Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science in the Colleges of Science and Engineering at Purdue University invites applications for multiple Tenure-Track Faculty positions at the Associate or Full Professor level at our Indianapolis location.
Purdue University has launched a new major initiative, Purdue Computes, consisting of three dimensions (Computing, Physical Artificial Intelligence, and Semiconductors) that will connect faculty and students from across the institution and enable the university to advance to the forefront with unparalleled excellence at scale. As part of this initiative, Computing is on track to add 50 new positions by 2030. Purdue Computes offers a stimulating academic environment with active research programs in almost all areas of computing.
The Department of Computer Science offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, in our West Lafayette and Indianapolis locations, as well as graduate MS and PhD programs. Application Process
Applications must include (1) a cover letter, (2) a complete curriculum vitae, (3) a statement of research, (4) a statement of teaching, and (5) names and contact information of at least three references. The cover letter should clearly indicate which of the above areas is the most suitable for the applicant's consideration. The cover letter should also include the preferred location (West Lafayette or Indianapolis). Applications will be considered beginning December 4, 2025, and will be reviewed until the positions are filled. A background check will be required for employment in this position. Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline by the employment start date, and demonstrate potential to build an independent research program, as well as the potential to educate and mentor students. A successful candidate will conduct original research, advise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, and perform service at the School, College, and University levels.
