We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician who enjoys handsโ€‘on work, mechanical challenges, and contributing directly to manufacturing improvements.


Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports Manufacturing and Project Engineering initiatives by designing, building, modifying, installing, and repairing fixtures, tools, workstations, and equipment. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined technician who enjoys working with tools, welding, troubleshooting manufacturing processes, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

This is a handsโ€‘on engineering support role with direct impact on production safety, quality, and productivity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering and Project Engineering teams with daily technical needs
  • Design, build, and improve fixtures, jigs, tools, benches, and production workstations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, equipment, and process issues using root cause analysis
  • Assist with engineering R&D projects, including basic AutoCAD or other CAD work
  • Build, modify, and install manufacturing equipment and workstation layouts
  • Support machine installations, line moves, and new facility or expansion projects (including offโ€‘site work when required)
  • Recommend and assist in purchasing tools, equipment, and materials
  • Train production associates on processes, equipment, tools, and safety practices
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S mindset)
  • Become forklift certified and operate equipment safely
  • Follow all safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of handsโ€‘on mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering technician experience
  • Strong mechanical, technical, and mathematical aptitude
  • MIG welding experience required.
  • Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, reaching)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Vocational discipline
  • TIG welding experience
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, Creo, or SolidWorks)
  • CNC machining experience (3โ€‘axis or 5โ€‘axis)
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
