Job description:

Company is an innovative, high technology, global software organization.  Looking for fulltime Technical Consultants - .NET Programmer/Analysts to provide onsite and remote technical services to new and existing customers. These individuals will be responsible for facilitating the initial migrations, version upgrades, customizations, training and other technical support needs of customers using our .NET software suite.  The onsite component of the Technical Consultant position can require up to 75% travel (at company's expense). Technical Consultants are also tasked with providing occasional IT support to the company's Sales and Operations teams as well as some responsibility for the maintenance of our internal servers, databases and networks, and supporting our internally managed website.  Description Technical Consultants will primarily be responsible for assisting on customer migration projects, providing post-migration technical services & support to customers using our .NET software suite and for providing regular status updates to the team lead and members of management. Technical Consultants are responsible for the following:*           Provide technical services and support to customers using our VB.NET and C# based product suite*           Develop and maintain content and functionality for the company's internally developed Portal/Knowledge Base*           Perform occasional network, database and system administration functions including support for the company's internal hardware, databases and network*           Prepare and present technical demonstrations at annual user's conference*           Prepare help file content, training materials, project documentation and support manuals*           Assist with Technical Q&A and Proof of Concepts Experience & Education Required: Three or more years' experience with computer programming/application development and/or systems administration a must; Degree in Computer Science or related field such as CIS or MIS;*Equivalent certifications or work experience acceptable Programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VBScript/PowerShell; Experience with SDLC and currently supported versions of Microsoft Visual Studio [Test] Team Foundation Server, Some experience with currently supported relational database management systems including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2; Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills; Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and to be comfortable with diversity in the workplace Ability to work independently or to effectively collaborate with geographically distributed teams; and, Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including domestic and international;   Preferred candidates will also have some basic understanding or experience with: Installing, configuring and maintaining current versions of VM Ware/Hyper-V, IIS, TCP/IP, Microsoft Windows Server, MS SQL Server or Oracle and Windows Active Directory; Systems Analysis, Systems Administration and/or Systems Integration IBM or Unisys Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, Natural, LINC, JCL, WFL, DB2, DMS, ADABAS); Participating in large, complex, multi-function information technology projects; Delivering quality service and satisfaction to internal and external customers;

Bottom Line Requirements:

1.  3+ years of experience with computer programming application development or systems administration.2.  Degree in Computer Science or related field such as CIS or MIS preferred (Equivalent certifications or work experience acceptable).3.  Programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VBScript/PowerShell.4.  Experience with SDLC and currently supported versions of Microsoft Visual Studio [Test] Team Foundation Server.5.  Some experience with currently supported relational database management systems including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or DB2.6.  Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including domestic and international.
