Position Summary
The Senior Specialist, Business Services monitors the daily operation of the Business Office, ensuring effective operations and training, directing and training business office staff.
Primary Duties Performed
  • Monitor and oversee daily operations of the Business Office
  • Train, instruct, and assign work to Business Office staff, explaining and enforcing college policies
  • Create and maintain training manuals for the Business Office
  • Serve as a liaison between and the finance department on issues related to the Business Office
  • Assist in providing purchasing services, including processing requisitions, issuing, reviewing, completing, and maintaining purchase orders and affiliated paperwork/records
  • Process labor redistribution
  • Review supporting documentation, mathematical correctness, and completeness of personnel assignments and payroll documents, resolving payroll-related problems
  • Administer purchasing card (P-Card) usage by authorized cardholders, ensuring compliance and maintaining records
  • Responsible for onboarding Continuing Education instructors and assisting with onboarding questions
  • Review employee reimbursement requests for policy compliance, budget availability, supporting documentation, and mathematical calculations
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience
High School Diploma is required and four (4) years of relevant experience.
Strongly prefer an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Finance or a related field with two (2) years of experience.
