About The Opportunity
Under supervision of the Design Manager is assigned a variety of engineering duties including direct assistance to specific Project Managers to complete, compile, and document items on various programs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Gathers all appropriate design inputs from the Project Manager, Sales and/or the customer.
  • Designs product using SolidWorks software.
  • Checks CAD models / drawings and layout for conformance to CTI engineering standards.
  • Interfaces with Project Managers, Sales Engineers and customers as applicable.
  • Responsible for designing to satisfy Scope of Work, conformance to budgetary guidelines for part weight and design for manufacturability for tooling build and production.
  • Ensure that designs are completed to satisfy Project Timing
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
  • Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several absolute and concrete variables.
Job Skill Level Requirements
Display advanced proficiency in the creation of CAD Models for product designs.
Training and/or proven proficiency in injection mold design/process/tooling, CAD applications (SolidWorks), drawing mechanics and creation and print reading.
Need to be able to use Microsoft Products - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
