This position is HYBRID in Raleigh, NC

We are seeking aSenior Software Engineerwith strong experienceofCloud Technologies aroundSnowflakeecosystem.This role will involve building robust backend services, data integration pipelines, and user interfaces that drive real-time and batch data flows across cloud environments.Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts orassistin special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer withexpertisein cloud-based data platforms, data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and modern data engineering practices. This individual will build andoptimizescalable pipelines,integrationsutilizingAWS Services, Snowflake,dbt, Python, SQL, and related technologies.

You will work across the full stack-from APIs and data ingestion layers to orchestration logic and UI components-helping architect and build scalable, extensible platforms


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud-based data solutionsutilizingAWS Services, Snowflake,dbt, Python, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes, data integrations, and transformation frameworks supporting operational, reporting, and analytical workloads.
  • Implement and enhance data quality controls, reconciliation processes, testing frameworks, anddbttests to ensure trusted and reliable data assets.
  • Optimizedata pipeline performance and operational efficiency through monitoring, alert investigation, automation, testing, CI/CD, dashboard development, and production support activities.
  • Develop monitoring dashboards and operational metrics to improve platform visibility, reliability, and incident response.
  • Support deployment automation, release validation, and environment promotion processes to improve delivery reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions that support businessobjectives.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices through technical discussions, peer reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the data engineering team
  • Leverage AI-powered development and productivity tools to improve engineering efficiency, code quality, testing, and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Technical Expertise:

  • ProficiencyinAWS Services(e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), Snowflake,dbt, Pythonand SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow
  • Frontend experience with React and RESTful API integration
  • Strong database skills (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, JSONB, data modeling)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of API development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices
  • Strong knowledge of release and configuration management tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiencyin SQL databases and experience with data migration/integration processes.

Problem Solving & Communication:

  • Strong analytical skills toidentifyand resolve issues during the release process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Advanced experience with modern data warehousing and large-scale data processing technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, or equivalent platforms.
