Conventus is seeking an experienced Associate, Data & Product to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work hands-on with reporting automation, data mapping and lineage, and data documentation, supporting business decision-making across our Data & Technology team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements Gathering: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand reporting needs, document business requirements, and translate them into data models or dashboard specifications.
  • Data Mapping & Lineage: Document data flows across systems, define source-to-target mappings, and maintain lineage artifacts.
  • Data Quality Checks: Design and implement automated validation rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of business-critical data.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to business questions from cross-functional teams by querying data, identifying trends, and summarizing findings in clear, actionable formats.
  • Dashboarding & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards in Sigma to support analytics, KPIs, and operational reporting.
  • Process Automation: Identify and automate repetitive data tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain data dictionaries, metric definitions, and reporting documentation to ensure consistent understanding of data across the organization.



QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Prior experience in lending technology, mortgage, or financial services is required.


Preferred

  • Experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards in Sigma, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau for cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into clearly defined data requirements and present findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms and an understanding of how CRM data supports cross-functional operations reporting.
  • Experience documenting business processes, writing functional requirements, or maintaining data dictionaries and operational runbooks.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards relevant to financial services (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, FCRA).
