This position requires on-site support and will report into our Quality Organization based at either our Mesa, AZ or Plymouth, MN facility. Job Summary The Supplier Quality Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to supplier performance and product quality.

This role supports Supplier Quality, Procurement, and Operations by turning raw data into actionable insights that reduce risk, improve supplier capability, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base. Key Responsibilities Data Management & Reporting: Collect, cleanse, and maintain data from multiple sources (ERP/MRP systems, supplier scorecards, incoming inspection, nonconformance systems, audits). Develop and maintain dashboards and standard reports showing supplier performance (on-time delivery, defect rates, escapes, returns, etc.)

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability across systems. Supplier Performance Analysis: Analyze supplier quality metrics (PPM, DPPM, yield, FPY, COPQ, on-time delivery) to identify trends, systemic issues, and emerging risks. Segment suppliers by performance, risk, and strategic importance to support sourcing and supplier development decisions.

Provide data-driven recommendations to Supplier Quality Engineers, Supply Chain, and Program teams. Quality & Root Cause Analytics: Lead our VCAB (Vendor Corrective Action Board) where we review supplier SCARs. Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts with data (Pareto charts, trend analysis, control charts, correlation studies).Track effectiveness of corrective actions using before/after metrics

Dashboards, Tools, & Automation: Design and maintain Power BI/Tableau/Excel dashboards for real-time visibility of supplier quality performance. Automate recurring data pulls, transformations, and reports (e.g., using SQL, Python, or advanced Excel).Partner with IT/Data teams to improve data structures, definitions, and reporting tools. Stakeholder Support & Communication: Provide routine and ad hoc analytical support to Supplier Quality, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management

Prepare clear presentations and visualizations that communicate complex data to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in supplier reviews, business reviews, and internal quality meetings as the data/metrics owner. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes.

Support development of supplier scorecards, KPIs, and standard work for performance monitoring. Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing defects, escapes, and cost of poor quality (COPQ). Basic Qualifications This position emphasizes skills first Must have 4 years of experience in a data-focused role within manufacturing, aerospace/defense, automotive, electronics, or similar industry Will consider Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience) in lieu of 4 yrs of experience.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable working with large, complex datasets. Proficiency with: Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, lookups, charts).At least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).Basic SQL for querying and joining data from relational databases. Familiarity with quality and supplier performance concepts (PPM, FPY, COPQ, SCARs, audits, RCCA)

Ability to clearly communicate insights and recommendations verbally and in writing. Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Supply Chain Analytics role.

Exposure to aerospace/defense industry standards (e.g., AS9100) Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation. Experience with ERP/MRP and quality systems (e.g., SAP, TIPQA, Solumina, etc.). Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt or similar is a plus)

Experience developing and tracking supplier scorecards and KPIs. Key Competencies Data-driven decision-making and critical thinking. Problem solving and root cause orientation.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork. Continuous improvement mindset.

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 - $99,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
