This position supports the collection, processing, validation, and maintenance of institutional data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and availability for reporting and operational needs. This position assists with troubleshooting and data quality monitoring regarding data submissions and corrections.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of institutional data using approved systems, tools, and standardized operational workflows.
Review incoming data submissions for completeness and consistency.
Resolve routine data quality and processing issues.
Support troubleshooting and issue resolution for workflow disruptions and system-related exceptions.
Collaborate with institutional partners to correct invalid, incomplete, or inconsistent data in support of reporting requirements.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve shared departmental and organizational objectives.
Deliver professional and proactive communication with institutional coordinators and internal stakeholders to support effective collaboration.
Support the integrity and accuracy of data across multiple reporting platforms, systems, and databases through Visual Analytics dashboards and queries.
Create and maintain data warehouse-related documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
Update data warehouse-related flows.
Update data warehouse-related Visual Analytics dashboards.
Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and information security standards across assigned responsibilities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; SAS certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or data processing tools. Basic understanding of data validation and troubleshooting techniques. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Clear focus and commitment to a high level of customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAS Viya 4. Experience in higher education, research, or institutional reporting environments. Familiarity with warehouse databases and reporting systems.
Supervision
The employee performs work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Data Warehousing.
Work Hours Agency offices are open to the public from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. These are the normal office hours for Agency employees. Physical Demands
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Ability to use a computer screen and printed material, to communicate clearly, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and to perform tasks that may require reaching, bending or stooping. Reasonable accommodations may be requested to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must use the proper manual handling equipment including but not limited to dollies, carts and lift team members. Duties are normally performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level.
