New York Life's Technology, Data, AI & Ventures organization is advancing a workforce transformation focused on how the organization plans, staffs, and operates for the future. The Workforce Data Analyst will partner with workforce, technology, and operations leaders to frame complex business questions, analyze workforce and operational data, and translate insights into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making. This role is suited for an analytical professional who can bring structure to ambiguous problems, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and use data to help leaders evaluate workforce trade-offs and opportunities.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with business and workforce stakeholders to understand strategic questions and translate them into analytical approaches that support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze workforce and operational data, including headcount, role mix, distribution, OKRs, health indicators, cost, skills, and capacity utilization, to support workforce planning across TDAV.
  • Build analytical models that help leaders evaluate workforce trade-offs, including hiring strategies, skill development priorities, and alignment of team capacity with business needs.
  • Present findings through clear data storytelling, enabling technical and non-technical audiences to understand insights, implications, and recommended actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, analytical processes, and workforce reporting capabilities to strengthen organizational decision-making over time.

  • 5-10 years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, workforce analytics, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of influencing business decisions.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $100,000-$143,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
