Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis in support of organization-wide decision-making and key projects. The role involves significant interaction and teamwork with the Company’s Finance staff and leadership, as well as other leaders and associates throughout the organization. The central purpose of the role is to support excellence in financial analysis and decision making across the Company
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and maintain relevant reports and analysis to assist leadership in evaluating financial and operational performance.
  • Compile, analyze and prepare data from the Company’s general ledger and other data sources in order to support fact-based evaluations and decisions.
  • Work with the Finance and Accounting teams, including the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and the CFO, in the development of the annual Financial Plan.
  • Evaluate monthly revenue, cost and profit trends.
  • Assist with due diligence, financial modeling and transaction support in connection with prospective acquisitions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as assigned by the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the CFO or the Vice President of Finance.
  • Serve on cross-departmental project teams that require analytical assistance and support.
  • Work with all departments to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Assist with various projects from the Accounting department including but not limited to month-end close and reconciliations.
SUPPORTING DUTIES TO THE CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Analytical mindset; asks questions and enjoys solving challenging issues or problems.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, while achieving established deadlines.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent communication skills: Oral (including presentations), Written, Interpersonal (active listening), Negotiating and Influencing.
  • Experience serving on high-performance teams both as a leader and as a participant.
  • Strong attention to detail and seeks a high-quality standard in all work (“Board of Directors quality”).
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Ability to connect financial analysis to broader business issues and implications.
  • Ability to think creatively, be proactive, and take initiative.
  • Drives projects to completion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in financial planning and analysis required with budgeting or forecasting experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel, Access, and FP amp;A platform skills.
  • Tableau and/or Power BI experience preferred.
