Cyber/Data/Privacy Associate Attorney – Midlevel
Location: Chicago | Washington, DC | New York | San Francisco
Practice Area: Cyber, Data & Privacy

Direct Counsel is seeking a midlevel associate with experience in litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations involving privacy and data security matters. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning Cyber/Data/Privacy practice with a strong international presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies).
  • Defend privacy and data security class actions, including cases involving:
    • Stored Communications Act
    • Wiretapping claims
    • Unfair and deceptive trade practices
    • Data breach class actions
  • Engage directly with clients and lead significant projects.
Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of litigation or regulatory investigation experience in privacy and data security matters.
  • Strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school.
