MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Associate Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in the Springfield, VA area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise.
  • Performs cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediation.
  • Tracks cyber actions from initial detection through final resolution.
  • Analyzes and assesses damage to the data / infrastructure.
  • Performs cyber engineering trend analysis and reporting.
  • Supports 24x7 Shift Work (Panama Shift Schedule; hours dependent on location).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience in lieu of degree.
  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification required.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and resolve problems effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desired.
  • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Engineering environment desired.
  • Knowledge of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $76,800.00-$128,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
