Diabetes Educator
Location: Olean General Hospital

Job Description
The function of the RN is to assess patients with diabetes (adult and pediatric) for actual and/or potential problems affecting the health of the patient based on this assessment, department policy and case findings. The RN will provide education and health counseling for the patient and family/caregiver on topics related to diabetes self-management. The RN will provide resources and consultation to staff and medical providers.

Education And Credentials
Completion of an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Professional Nursing. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience
At least two (2) years of Medical/Surgical nursing.
