We are seeking flu shot season nurses and fit testing nurses.

Location:

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)

  • 2 - 3 years experience Clinical Nursing (Required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required 

  • Registered Nurse Required

Job Overview:

  • The Employee Health Special Project Registered Nurse is responsible for working in the special project clinics, providing immunizations and conducting respirator fit testing for TriHealth team members. This role ensures safe vaccine administration, proper documentation, and compliance with OSHA standards regarding respiratory protection. The nurse works collaboratively with healthcare teams and maintains high standards of infection control and environment of care.
     

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely prepares and administers vaccines according to protocols and manufacturer guidelines, including but not limited to influenza vaccine. Observes for adverse reactions and provide immediate care as necessary. Educates recipients about vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care. Documents vaccination details in electronic health records or other systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Performs qualitative fit testing for N95 respirators following OSHA guidelines. Trains team members on proper use, maintenance, and limitations of respiratory protective equipment. Documents fit testing details in electronic health records or other systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Follows strict infection control practices during all procedures, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe disposal of medical waste. 
    Provides clear education and training on vaccination schedules, respiratory protection, and related health practices. 
  • Monitors vaccine and respirator supplies, report shortages, and ensures proper storage conditions.
