The Atkinson County Health Department is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the full-time, salaried position of PH Registered Nurse based in Pearson, GA.

Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols. Provides community health services in programs such as Women's Health, Child Health, Adult Health, etc. to the general public. Assesses the client's condition, develops plans of care, provides treatments, educates clients, and refers clients to agencies that can assist in meeting social and/or health needs. Records pertinent observations and responses to treatment. Adheres to protocols set in place for vaccine administration and specimen collection, including but not limited to appropriate patient identification, registration, preparation and administration of vaccine, labeling, requisitioning, and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab by courier. Ensures that all safety precautions, HIPAA requirements and data entry are accurate and acknowledged. Administer vaccinations during designated events such as mass vaccination clinics or in the event of a declared emergency. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.

Completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing. One year of experience as a registered professional nurse. Public health experience. Bilingual.
