About Us

UNFOLD is an award-winning, global, integrated creative agency built for an always-on world. We create insight-led campaigns, content, media, production, and immersive experiences that help brands show up across platforms, moments, and culture-driven categories.

The Role

The Creative team is seeking an experienced Group Creative Director, Art to lead integrated creative across a portfolio of accounts, campaigns, and creative disciplines. This role oversees larger bodies of work across social AORs, entertainment, gaming, brand, experiential, digital, and campaign initiatives, ensuring the creative is visually distinctive, strategically aligned, culturally relevant, and held to UNFOLD's highest standard.

While art direction, design excellence, and visual storytelling are at the core of this role, the position extends well beyond traditional art leadership. The GCD will guide multidisciplinary teams across design, motion, AV, experiential, social, digital, and campaign development, ensuring ideas come to life through compelling visual systems and world-class execution across every touchpoint.

The ideal candidate has deep agency experience leading integrated campaigns and creative teams across multiple client accounts. They operate comfortably at both the conceptual and executional levels—defining the creative vision while elevating the craft and details that bring it to life. They know how to inspire teams, champion design excellence, mentor creative leaders, and create work that feels both culturally relevant and visually unforgettable.

In this role, the GCD will oversee multiple AORs and campaigns simultaneously, partnering closely with Strategy, Social, Production, Client Services, Experiential, and Design leadership. They will help connect creative across channels, elevate visual quality throughout the agency, mentor emerging leaders, and continuously raise UNFOLD's creative standard.

Integrated Creative Leadership
  • Lead creative direction across multiple accounts, campaigns, and disciplines, including social, digital, AV, experiential, content, brand, and emerging platforms.
  • Define compelling visual concepts, campaign systems, design languages, and creative territories that scale seamlessly across channels and audiences.
  • Ensure every creative solution is strategically grounded, culturally relevant, and executed with exceptional visual craft.
  • Review, refine, and approve creative throughout the process, maintaining an uncompromising standard for design, art direction, craftsmanship, innovation, and effectiveness.
  • Champion strong visual storytelling, cohesive brand systems, and elevated creative execution across every client engagement.
  • Help improve creative processes and collaboration models so multidisciplinary teams can do their best work.
Creative Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Motion Designers, Editors, and multidisciplinary creative teams across multiple accounts.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional design, visual innovation, experimentation, and creative excellence.
  • Provide thoughtful creative direction and actionable feedback that strengthens both the work and the people behind it.
  • Partner closely with copy leadership to ensure visual and verbal storytelling work together seamlessly.
  • Identify growth opportunities for team members while helping build a collaborative, high-performing creative culture.
  • Serve as a senior creative leader who inspires teams, solves complex creative challenges, and pushes ideas beyond the expected.
Social, Entertainment & Platform-Native Creative
  • Lead the creation of visually compelling work built for how audiences experience content across social, streaming, entertainment, gaming, and emerging digital platforms.
  • Ensure campaigns feel native to each platform while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across every touchpoint.
  • Guide how campaign ideas, design systems, motion, AV, experiential activations, creator content, and digital experiences come together into unified creative ecosystems.
Here’s What It Takes
  • 10–12+ years of experience in art direction, design leadership, integrated campaign development, or multidisciplinary creative leadership within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience leading integrated campaigns across social, digital, experiential, AV, entertainment, gaming, and brand initiatives.
  • Exceptional visual design sensibility with deep expertise in art direction, creative systems, typography, composition, branding, and executional craft.
  • Experience managing and mentoring senior creative talent and cross-functional teams across multiple accounts.
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, integrated campaign development, and creative leadership.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, audience behavior, cultural trends, design innovation, and the evolving entertainment landscape.
  • Ability to translate strategy into visually cohesive creative systems that scale across channels and experiences.
  • Experience partnering closely with Strategy, Client Services, Production, Social, Copy, and Experiential teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills with experience presenting creative work to executive-level clients and internal leadership.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and standard creative/project management tools.
